Welcome to the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists, Karnataka State Chapter!
The Official Page of The Anaesthesiologists of Karnataka

Dear Esteemed members of ISA Karnataka,

It is with deep humility and immense gratitude that I accept the responsibility of serving as the President of the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists, Karnataka State Branch, for 2025-26. I stand on the shoulders of visionary leaders who have shaped our society with dedication, wisdom, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. I pledge to carry forward this legacy with integrity, inclusivity, and innovation. My vision for ISA Karnataka is rooted in three pillars:

1. Scientific Excellence: To foster evidence-based practice, continuous professional development, and cutting-edge research across all levels of anaesthesiology—from core anaesthesia to emergency care, perioperative medicine, pain management, and critical care.

2. Service to Society: To expand our role in public health by promoting safe anaesthesia practices, access to pain relief, and community outreach through cardiopulmonary resuscitation training.

3. Solidarity and Support: To strengthen our professional community through mentorship, wellness initiatives, and collaborative platforms that empower every anaesthesiologist—from trainees to veterans.

Together, let us build a future where our work in anaesthesiology in Karnataka is not only clinically outstanding but also socially impactful and nationally relevant. I invite each of you to join hands in this journey—with your ideas, energy, and commitment.

Dr. Sriganesh

President, ISA Karnataka

Dear Esteemed members of ISA, Karunadu,
Greetings from the Secretariat of Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists, Karnataka!

In the last two years were difficult time for mankind, our anaesthesiologist colleagues contributed selflessly to mankind during COVID 19 Pandemic, many of our colleagues lost their life during this selfless service. ISA Karnataka has undertaken several initiatives for the benefit of members. Including various online academic activities through virtual mode. We solute all the covid warriors.

We successfully conducted several programmes - 15 webinars, PG excel at Hubli and State confence in Hybrid mode at Shivamogga. All these programmes were a huge success. ISA Karnataka started new sessions in state conference this year, UG session to create awareness among budding doctors about anaesthesia and perioperative medicine, Arivalike session -Informal discussion about various topics related to anaesthesia, earlier awards, Lifetime achievement and KLE oration were continued. We also continued with Young Speaker and Private Practitioner Sessions, and ISA Ballari Trainee Talent, BLDE Best Paper and ISA Tumkur Best Poster awards.

All 18 city branches are contributing to the success of ISA Karnataka and we want to support less active branches in their endeavours. We request all city branches to participate in ISA activities and contribute to the growth of our society. All office-bearers are open to new ideas and constructive criticism, and welcome your suggestions to make ISA Karnataka more vibrant than before. Together we will scale greater heights of members’ welfare, patient safety and professional achievements!

Several ISA Karnataka members attended national conference last year and brought laurels to the state This year, in recognition of the quality and amount of work done, ISA Karnataka and its city branches (Bengaluru and Mangaluru) won 13 awards at the national level. Congratulations to all the winners. This will only motivate us to achieve more in the coming year!
