• 3. Human Factors and Crew Resource Management: How to Speak Up in the OR Without Getting Slapped Down

Guidelines for Essay Submission

• 1) Maximum word limit 1200- 1500 words
• 2) The language should be English only
• 3)The essay should be typed in Times New Roman, 12 size with double spacing.
• 4)The hand written essays will not be accepted.
• 5)The essay should be the original work of the student and it should not be copied from anywhere.
• 6) The writing should not have grammatical error as well as overlapping of contents.
• 7)There should be structural coherence. The introduction and conclusion of the essay should be proper and rational.
• 8) The evaluation will be made on the basis of content, coverage, facts, writing spirit inclined towards the topic and logical presentation with due rationale.

INFOGRAPHIC COMPETITION TOPICS FOR WAD 2025

Guidelines for Infographic competition

• 1. Eligibility
• Open to all Postgraduates
• Individual or team submissions (maximum 2 authors) are allowed.
• Each participant may submit only one infographic.
• 2. Originality & Copyright
• The infographic must be the original work of the submitting author(s).
• No copyrighted text, images, icons, charts, or graphics may be used unless:
• They are created by the author(s),
• OR sourced from clearly identified open-access/public-domain resources.
• Plagiarism or replication of existing infographics will result in disqualification.
• Submissions must not have been published, presented, or submitted elsewhere.
• 3. Design & Format Requirements
• File type: PNG / JPEG / PDF
• Dimensions:
• Portrait A4 (preferred) or square format (1080×1080 px)
• Resolution: Minimum 300 DPI
• Font style must ensure clarity and readability.
• Avoid excessive text; visual clarity and concise messaging are key.
• Use of only non-copyrighted icons, graphics, or self-created visuals.
• 4. Submission Structure
• Each submission must include:
• Title of the infographic
• Name(s) of author(s) and institutional affiliation
• Contact email
• Declaration of originality (see below)
• Declaration (to be submitted with entry) messaging are key.
• “I/we confirm that this infographic is an original creation and does not contain any copyrighted material. It has not been published, submitted, or presented elsewhere. I/we grant ISA Karnataka the rights to publish, display, and disseminate this infographic with due credit.”
• 5. Evaluation Criteria
• Submissions will be judged on:
• Originality and creativity
• Accuracy and relevance of content
• Clarity of communication
• Visual appeal and formatting
• Educational value for postgraduate learning

• File name should include the author's name and institution.
